When my friend told me she was getting married, the first thing I did besides congratulate her is try and help her find a wedding photographer. So much goes on behind the scenes, and I didn’t want to take the chance of marring an otherwise beautiful day with my inexperience. Well, it turns out that it was a beautiful day. And I got a lot of experience. Sometimes that’s the only way to learn. Why am I prefacing a preview of wedding photos on my website with a disclaimer? Because I’m lucky enough to have these sort of people in my life who don’t mind taking risks with me. Even on one of the most important days of their lives.
And what a day it was. Becky and Ian tied the knot surrounded by their amazing families and ambiance of their own design. Becky chose a peacock-inspired color scheme. Paired with whimsical touches here and there put together over time in her father’s garden, it was gorgeous. From the beginning of the day to the end, the atmosphere was thick with excitement, happiness, love, and everything else that makes a wedding something people look forward to and remember for the rest of their lives. Capturing those moments is a privilege and I can only hope to have done them justice.
